佛法的纲要(双语开示)

  佛教的纲要就是我们常说福慧二法,成佛的福慧二资粮,又说福慧双修,在每天修皈依时的皈依词上也强调说:自皈依佛当愿众生体解大道发无上心,或说皈依佛两足尊等等。这都是在说成就佛道的根本二法,即成佛二资粮,即福德资粮与智慧资粮。

  Buddhist practice can be briefed into two points, virtue and wisdom. To practice Buddhism is to cultivate both our virtue and wisdom. The most common conversion words at a formal conversion ceremony are: “I’d take refuge in the Buddha, wishing that all sentient beings understand the true meaning of Buddha Dharma and make supreme vows of attaining Buddhahood, and at the same time helping all sentient beings attaining Buddhahood.”We also say: “Converted to Buddha, we should be sufficient in both virtue and wisdom”。

  Both sayings stress the Sambhara for attaining Buddhahood: virtue and wisdom.

  其中佛所说的福德,就是指菩提心指导下的大悲行愿,是不为自己求安乐,惟愿众生得离苦,是愿一切众生皆成佛道永远离苦得乐殊胜之心。这也就是发无上心。

  According to the Buddha, virtue refers the great compassion under the guidance of the Bodhi heart. Our Buddhist practice is not for our own sake, but for all sentient beings ever-lasting happiness. It’s our grant wish that all sentient beings attain Buddhahood.

  佛教中所说的智慧是指般若,也称般若智慧,又称佛智,其核心是以无所得,无所有,毕竟空的心超越一切假有,超越有为,实现无我无执的清净解脱,这是出离三界六道苦海的本钱。这就是体解大道。

  这福慧的圆满具足,就是大彻大悟,就是佛。所以佛又称两足尊。

  Buddhist wisdom is Prajna, which is also known as Prajna wisdom, or the Buddha wisdom, the core of which is the practice of emptiness, the clean and clear state of heart, free from all ignorance, attachment or persistence. It’s the complete detachment and pure liberation from the Self and the Form. This is the true comprehension and practice of the Buddha Dharma and is the only right way to get out of Samsara.

  Such practice leads to perfect accomplishment of both virtue and wisdom. Being sufficient in both virtue and Prajna wisdom, we achieve supreme enlightenment and attain Buddhahood.
